Veronica Newman became a barrister in 1984. After training in London Chambers, she practised in Manchester Chambers covering a broad range of civil claims. After private practice at the Bar, she worked for two firms of solicitors, first in Manchester and then for a national law firm in their Cardiff office. Later she worked as a university lecturer in law. Veronica returned to practice in 2005 and qualified as a direct access practitioner in 2010. Veronica specialises in Family and Civil litigation cases. Amongst the cases she deals with are;
Veronica regularly represents clients in the family courts, which can take place in the Magistrates’, County and High Court. Veronica also practices in the civil courts and has represented clients seeking possession of property orders, compensation for personal injury, small claims proceedings.
Veronica is an accredited community and neighbourhood mediator and is a lay member of the Dental Complaints Panel.
